Eric Red

Eric Red (born February 16, 1961 in Pittsburgh , Pennsylvania ) is an American film director , screenwriter and author .

Live and act

He made his debut as a screenwriter and director in 1981 with the film Gunmen's Blues , a short film with Matt Dillon in the lead role. Another short film, Telephone, was made five years later . In 1986, Red wrote the screenplay for the horror film Hitcher, the Highway Killer . In 2007 he was also involved as a writer on the remake The Hitcher . 1989 Red made his first feature film with Hitman - Cohen & Tate . Two years later, the horror film Body Parts followed . For this work he was nominated in 1992 for the Saturn Award in the Best Director category. As a screenwriter, he was involved in two projects for director Kathryn Bigelow , and he also wrote the scripts for his own films. In 1996 he directed his two other films, Undertow and Bad Moon . The horror film 100 Feet followed in 2008 .

In addition to his script work, he published two novels with Don't Stand So Close and Containment .

Eric Red is married for the second time.
