action

The scientist Ted Harrison and his girlfriend are traveling to Nepal on an expedition . There they are attacked by a werewolf while they are having sex in the tent. Ted is injured but survives; his girlfriend dies. Ted shoots the werewolf.

In the US, Ted's sister Janet is visited by a sales representative. The man is attacked by Janet's dog Thor and threatens a lawsuit. Janet says she is a lawyer and describes the man as a cheater who provokes the dogs to sue the owners. The man leaves her alone.

Ted returns to the United States where, after a few months, Janet and her 10-year-old son Brett visit him. Janet suggests that Ted move in with her. He's starting to transform. Thor can't stand him anymore. Ted ties himself to a tree to stop the nightly metamorphoses, but it's no use.

When Janet realizes something is wrong with Ted, she follows him on his daily walk in the woods. When she finds him, he is about to tie himself to a tree. Janet speaks to him about his strange behavior. Then Ted begins to transform himself. Janet begins to realize what is happening to her brother and flees home.

At the end of the film, Ted in werewolf form is badly wounded by his sister and ultimately killed by Thor.

Reviews

James Berardinelli wrote on ReelViews that it would take three minutes of watching to determine the film was bad. He found fault with some of the film's logical weaknesses.

Mick LaSalle wrote in the San Francisco Chronicle of November 2, 1996 that the film packaged sex and violence in a particularly amusing way. He praised the special effects.

“A very exciting horror film that skilfully varies familiar clichés and gains an additional aspect from the increasing conflict between man and dog. Towards the end, the film staged with some unnecessarily bloody scenes breaks down a little, especially in the portrayal of the transition from animal instinct to deliberately evil. "

backgrounds

The production costs of Bad Moon were approximately seven million dollars and he played in the cinemas of the United States, where he was brought in 825 cinemas, a little more than one million US dollars. The film never ran in European cinemas. There is a German Bad Moon version on VHS, there is also a cut German TV version.
