Carroll Timothy O'Meara

Carroll Timothy O'Meara (born April 22, 1943 in Sherman Oaks , Los Angeles , † May 16, 2007 in Chatsworth , California ) was an American film editor .

Life

After Carroll Timothy O'Meara Marcia Lucas in the film section of Alice Does not Live Here Anymore and John C. Howard in the film cuts from Blazing Saddles and underwater you die not assisted, it took four years before he and decision day for the first time was allowed to independently direct a film editing. After receiving an Oscar nomination for Best Film Editing with Robert L. Wolfe for The Rose in 1980 , he received an Emmy for The Thorn Birds in 1983 .

O'Meara was a member of the American Cinema Editors .

O'Meara died on May 16, 2007, leaving behind both a brother and a daughter.
