Marcia Lucas
Marcia Lucas (* 1945 as Marcia Griffin ) is an American film editor . She was married to director George Lucas , whom she met at the University of Southern California Film School , between 1969 and 1983 . Together they adopted a daughter, Amanda, who was born in 1981.
Lucas won with Paul Hirsch and Richard Chew an Oscar for the section of the movie Star Wars in 1978 . She also worked as executive producer for the film No easy Way (1996).
In the book "The Secret History of Star Wars" by Michael Kaminski, the author goes into detail about the influence that Marcia Lucas had on her husband's films.
