Julie Dartnell

Julie Dartnell (born in Stanford-le-Hope , Essex, around 1963 ) is a British makeup artist and hairdresser who won an Oscar in 2013 .

Career

Dartnell began working as a makeup artist in the 1989 television film The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian & The Journey of the Dawn . Films such as Shakespeare in Love , Charlie and the Chocolate Factory , Die for Beginners , Wanted , Alice in Wonderland and Captain America - The First Avenger followed . For her work on the film adaptation Les Misérables Dartnell received in 2013 the Oscar in the category Best Makeup and Best hairstyles . At the BAFTA Awards , she and Lisa Westcott were awarded the prize in the same category.
