action

The young landscape architect Will Francis lives in London with his long-time friend Liv and their daughter Bea. The relationship is about to end as both partners have grown apart over the years. Will lives for his work, while Liv feels abandoned by Will with her problems with the almost autistic daughter Bea.

After Will and his business partner Sandy have relocated their joint architecture office to the King's Cross district, the office is broken into. All computers and other technical devices are stolen. The break-in was prepared by the 15-year-old traceur Miro, who climbs into the office hall via the roof and opens the door for his friends, including his uncle and cousin. Miro lives with his unsuspecting mother Amira, who, like him, had fled the Yugoslav wars as a Bosnian . The father has left the family, it is implied.

As a reward for his break-in, Miro receives Wills' laptop, which includes pictures of the architect's family. After a second break-in into the office hall, Will decides to catch the thief in the red. While waiting at night, he made the acquaintance of the prostitute Oana, who, however, was unable to seduce him. One night Will discovers Miro on the facade of the building and follows the fugitive on foot and finally unrecognized to his apartment. Since Miro's mother, Amira, also works as a seamstress, Will brings a torn jacket over to her and later suits that she is supposed to mend. While changing clothes in Miro's room, Will makes sure that Miro was indeed the culprit, but can't bring himself to report the boy. He starts an affair with Amira. When the architect's office deliberately left a visiting card in Miro's room, the boy realizes that Will has exposed him as a thief. He confesses everything to his mother, who now wants to return the laptop to Will and ask him not to report Miro. Before she is able to do so, she ends up in bed with Will - in order to subsequently take compromising photos of the sleeping Will, which are intended to be used for blackmail.

One day, the pressure is too much for Amira: She confesses to Will that she took the photos and that she knows what he knows about her son. Although Will wants to start the relationship again, Amira leaves him. After their own research, the police arrested Miro, who found Will's laptop. When the youth welfare office wanted to save Miro from imprisonment due to his age and arranged a joint discussion between the perpetrators and victims , Will confessed his affair to his girlfriend Liv. Together they go to the trial, where they both lie and claim to have borrowed the laptop from Amira and are well acquainted with mother and son anyway, and have even visited her several times. Miro has now got a second chance and is going back to Sarajevo with his mother. And Will begins to re-engage in his own relationship with Liv and Bea.
