Stephen Prouty
Stephen Prouty (also: Steve Prouty; * 20th century ) is an American make-up artist .
Career
Prouty grew up in Atlanta and actually wanted to be an actor. While taking acting classes, he learned a little about makeup, a subject that intrigued him. With the help of two books and a lot of practice he learned and was able to win Bob Shelley as a mentor. In the 1990s he moved to Los Angeles, where he met Jake Garber , Mike Burnett and Colin Penman who became his tutors.
Prouty started as a make-up artist in 1986 in the film Truth or Dare ?: A Critical Madness .
He has received multiple Emmy nominations and the 2014 Oscar for best performance in make-up and hairstyling for the film Jackass: Bad Grandpa .
