Christine Blundell

Christine Blundell (born October 1961 in London , England ) is a British make- up artist .

Life

Blundell began her career on the film staff in 1990 with the comedy Life is Sweet directed by Mike Leigh . After several other British film productions, she was awarded the Oscar in the category of best make-up and best hairstyles in 1996 for Leigh's biopic Topsy-Turvy - Upside down together with Trefor Proud . She also received the award in the Best Mask category at the BAFTA Film Awards held in the same year . Between 2005 and 2015 there were three other nominations for the BAFTA Film Award, but she could not win them. Blundell subsequently worked on a number of major feature film productions, including James Bond 007: Casino Royale , Sherlock Holmes , Paddington and Wonder Woman .

In addition to her film engagements, Blundell runs a make-up academy in London.
