action

The ambitious high-flyer Nat works in an advertising agency. At a party she falls in love with the somewhat sloppy writer Josh. Although the two do not go together, they get married after six months. Already at the wedding party, when the pastor had a coughing fit and Josh's best man Dan gave an embarrassing speech, friends were predicting the imminent end of the marriage. Nat's cynical and frustrated sister Naomi also says the marriage will last a year or less.

In everyday life, the couple notices that they have completely different views on many things. Josh deliberately makes Nat appointments early because he knows she will be late. He drinks too much at parties and keeps telling the same jokes. Even on vacation, they are interested in completely different things. They also get along with their in-laws only moderately.

When Josh meets his ex-girlfriend Chloe, whom he left some time ago, it turns out that she still loves him. Meanwhile, Nat is courted by the handsome Guy Harrap, but resists the temptation. Josh and Nat soon realize that they are no longer happy with each other, but nobody wants to admit it, so they continue their marriage unhappy.

Cannot get the people they love, Guy and Chloe begin a half-hearted relationship. When Josh and Nat finally admit after a year that they would be happier apart, they simultaneously confess their love to Guy and Chloe and the couples split up immediately. Josh kisses Chloe and Guy kisses Nat.
