Tim Bevan

Tim Bevan (* 1958 in Queenstown , New Zealand ) is a New Zealand film producer.

Live and act

Together with Sarah Radclyffe , he founded the production company Working Title Films (originally Big Science Ltd. ) in 1983 ; the company's first production was the 1984 short film The Man Who Shot Christmas . He and his colleague Eric Fellner have been running this since 1992 .

Tim Bevan was nominated five times for an Oscar : 2008 for Atonement , 1999 for Elizabeth , 2013 for Les Misérables , 2015 for The Discovery of Infinity and 2018 for The Darkest Hour . In 2007 he was named Best Producer at the London Critics Circle Film Awards .

From 1992 to 2001 he was married to actress Joely Richardson . Their daughter, Daisy , is also an actress.

In 2005 he was appointed Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE) by the Queen . On July 11, 2013, he was awarded an honorary doctorate from the University of York .
