Personal Service is a British comedy film by director Terry Jones from 1987. The film depicts the experiences of the outwardly ultra-conservative brothel operator Christine Painter ( Julie Walters ) in the fight for her brothel, which is tailored to the sadomasochistic suitors of English high society .
action
Christine Painter runs a discreet salon in London, where she fulfills the sadomasochistic fantasies of the English upper class under the sign of charity, in order to be able to give her son an elitist upbringing with the proceeds. Most of the visitors to her establishment are elderly men, especially members of the British upper class, including bankers, judges, diplomats and parliamentarians. In addition to sex, bondage and sometimes a cup of tea, Mrs. Painter's very personal charm is what makes the unmistakable service of the entire offer. After a raid, the special range and the prominent clientele come to light, England is facing a unique scandal.
