Didier Lavergne

Didier Lavergne is a makeup artist .

Life

Lavergne began his career on the film staff in 1969 as an assistant make-up artist for Je, tu, elles… of the Hungarian director Peter Foldes . In 1976 the tenant began a long-term collaboration with Roman Polański . Until 2013 Lavergne worked on a total of ten films by Polański, including Tess , Frantic , Bitter Moon and The Pianist . Another connection exists with actor Christopher Lambert , whose makeup Lavergne was responsible for in 13 films between 1988 and 2004. In 2008 he was awarded the Oscar for the best make-up and best hairstyles category for Olivier Dahan's biopic La vie en rose together with Jan Archibald . Both also won the BAFTA Film Award in the Best Mask category in the same year .
