The film is a parody of Ben Hur . During the Roman Empire , Caesar was sent to a North African colony. There the homosexual military leader wants to meet Cleopatra . Meanwhile, Ben Hur is planning an assassination attempt on Caesar. But in the end Ben Hur turns out to be Cleopatra's missing brother.

“The attempt at satire of the times, bursting with anachronisms, soon gets caught up in the cheap jokes of a homosexual plot. The embarrassing dubbing also drives the film out of the last joke. "
