Paul Pattison

Paul Pattison (* 1955 or 1956) is a makeup artist living in Australia .

Life

Pattison began his film staff career in 1974 on Australian television. His film debut was Tim Burstalls drama Kangaroo in 1986. After several other Australian film productions, he made the leap to Hollywood with Farewell to the King . In 1996 he was awarded the Oscar for Best Make-up and Best Hairstyles for Mel Gibson's historical drama Braveheart, along with Peter Frampton and Lois Burwell . At the BAFTA Film Awards held in the same year, however, the nomination in the Best Mask category remained . Pattison subsequently worked on a number of major feature film productions, including The Expendables 2 and The Expendables 3, and Fast & Furious 7 and Fast & Furious 8 . Since 2011 he has been working as a personal makeup artist for Jason Statham .

In addition to his engagements in film, Pattison has also worked for television, including the series The Flying Doctors and Farscape and the two-part television film Noah's Ark - The Greatest Adventure of Mankind . For his work in television, he was nominated twice for a Primetime Emmy , which he could not win.

Paul Pattison lives with his family in Double Bay , Australia.
