Veronica McAleer

Veronica McAleer (formerly Veronica Brebner ) is a makeup artist .

Life

McAleer began her career in film crew in 1997 with John Madden's period drama Mrs. Brown . For her first film, she was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Make-up and Best Hairstyles in 1998, along with Lisa Westcott and Beverley Binda , but that year the science fiction film Men in Black won it . In the following year she received her second Oscar nomination, but together with Lisa Westcott she lost out to Elizabeth . McAleer has worked under renowned directors such as Tim Burton , Oliver Parker and Ron Howard .

In addition to her film engagements, she also occasionally worked for television. She received a Primetime Emmy in 2005 for her work on the HBO production The Life and Death of Peter Sellers .

Veronica McAleer founded the Makeup training center in Birmingham , which offers courses in makeup and makeup.
