Jean-Pierre Eychenne

Jean-Pierre Eychenne (born before 1969) is a makeup artist .

Life

Eychenne began his career on the film staff in 1969 in François Truffaut's Cornell Woolrich film The Secret of the False Bride . He subsequently worked several times for director Claude Sautet , as well as for Costa-Gavras , Volker Schlöndorff , Jean-Luc Godard , Roman Polański and Miloš Forman , among others . In 1988 he was nominated for the first time in the category Best Mask for the BAFTA Film Award for Claude Berri's literary adaptation Jean de Florette . In 1991 Eychenne was nominated for an Oscar in the category Best Make-up and Best Hairstyles for Jean-Paul Rappeneau's period film Cyrano von Bergerac together with Michèle Burke , but the award went to Warren Beatty's comic book adaptation Dick Tracy that year . The following year, however, Eychenne won the BAFTA Film Award for Cyrano von Bergerac .
