Christopher Nelson
Christopher Allen Nelson (born 20th century in Pittsburgh , Pennsylvania ) is an American make- up artist who has been nominated eight times for an Emmy Award and has been awarded an Oscar . Occasionally he also appears as an actor in some films in which he u. a. also worked behind the camera.
Career
Christopher Nelson was born in Pittsburgh and moved to Los Angeles at the age of 15 to devote himself to acting. Nelson's first experience as a makeup artist in the film business he collected in the movies Batman Returns , Short Cuts and The Dark Half , these Colaborations were all without mentioning . In addition to the film business, he worked in various episodes of television series (including Outer Limits - The Unknown Dimension ) to prepare the actors for the recordings. He has worked in the productions of Magnolia , X-Men , A Beautiful Mind - Genie und Wahnsinn , Kill Bill - Volume 1 and its sequel, as well as Pirates of the Caribbean , Sin City , Star Trek and its sequel. For his work on the American Horror Story series , he was nominated six times at the Prime Time Emmy Awards , of which he won two in 2015.
For his artistic performance in the film Suicide Squad , Nelson and his colleagues Alessandro Bertolazzi and Giorgio Gregorini received the award at the 2017 Academy Awards in the category of best make-up and best hairstyles .
In addition, he worked as an actor in 33 films, where he was dubbed by Bodo Wolf in President Evil and Bernhard Völger in Kill Bill - Vol. 2 .
