Christien Tinsley

Christien Tinsley (* 1974 ) is a makeup artist and special effects artist .

Life

Tinsley began his career in film crew in 1998 as a special effects artist in science fiction - horror film Species II . After further films as a make-up artist and special effects artist, he worked on Michael Bay's war film Pearl Harbor in 2001 . In order to meet the director's requirements for realistic burn injuries for numerous extras promptly, Tinsley developed the temporary tattoos known as Tinsley Transfers . For this he was in 2008 with the Oscar for technical merit excellent.

Tinsley has worked under renowned directors such as Ethan and Joel Coen , Clint Eastwood , Steven Soderbergh , Peter Weir and Sidney Lumet . 2005 he worked for Mel Gibson's The Passion of the Christ along with Keith VanderLaan for the Oscar in the category Best Makeup and Best hairstyles nominated, but won this year's adventure film Lemony Snicket - Mysterious events .

In addition to his film engagements, Tinsley has also worked for television, including the series American Horror Story , Westworld and American Gods . For his work, he was nominated ten times for the Primetime Emmy between 2007 and 2017 , which he won twice.
