Judith A. Cory

Judith Alexander Cory (born before 1967) is a makeup artist .

Life

Cory began her career on the film staff in 1967 with the Elvis musical comedy Just Don't Be A Millionaire by director Arthur H. Nadel . She was in the film business for almost four decades, during which time she worked under renowned directors such as Robert Zemeckis , Arthur Hiller , Peter Hyams and Burt Kennedy . She worked for Steven Spielberg on Hook , Schindler's List, and Forgotten World: Jurassic Park . For Schindler's List , she was nominated for an Oscar in 1994, along with Christina Smith and Matthew Mungle, for Best Make-up and Best Hairstyles , but that year it won the comedy Mrs. Doubtfire - The Prickly Nanny . The following year she received her second Oscar nomination for Forrest Gump , this time with Daniel C. Striepeke and Hallie D'Amore , but they were defeated by Tim Burton's tragic comedy Ed Wood .

In addition to her film engagements, Cory has occasionally worked for television, including on the television series Hawkins and The Model and the Snoop . Her last film was the romantic comedy Solange Du da ist in 2005, after which she retired from the film business.
