Arthur H. Nadel (born April 25, 1921 in New York City , New York , † February 22, 1990 in Los Angeles , California ) was an American film and television director , film producer , screenwriter and film editor .

Life

Arthur H. Nadel, also known as Arthur Nadel in the credits , did his first work in film as an editor, including Impact (1949), Victim of the Underworld (DOA , 1950) and The Man Who Didn't Know Himself (The Man Who Watched Trains Go By , 1952).

In the 1960s, Nadel worked as a director and producer on well-known television series such as, West of Santa Fé (The Rifleman , 1962–1963), the fantasy series Isis (1975–1976), and the sci-fi series Die Weltraum- Academy (Space Academy , 1977) and Jason of Star Command (1978–1979).

In 1967, he turned as a director of the musical film not only be millionaire (Clambake) with Elvis Presley and Shelley Fabares in the lead roles.

In the 1980s, he mainly turned to cartoons such as Sport Billy (Sport Billy , 1979-1980), He-Man - Valley of Power (He-Man and the Masters of the Universe , 1983-1985), Ghostbusters (Ghostbusters , 1986) and She-Ra - Princess of Power (She-Ra: Princess of Power , 1985-1987).

Arthur H. Nadel died at the age of 68 on February 22, 1990 in Los Angeles, California.

Trivia

Nadel's daughter is married to John Berwick, better known as Rex Ruthless .
