action
The series takes place in the 23rd century on the fabulous planet New Texas in a world that is a futuristic version of the classic western . Between saloons, banks, native Indians and ghost towns, the Marshall protects settlers of various extraterrestrial races from the numerous outlaws.
The kerium resources on the planet, which, similar to gold in westerns, are mined and then brought to the bank of the city of Fort Kerium , offer cause for conflict again and again . The clashes take place in the style of wild west duels with laser weapons and the like. Ä. instead.
At the end of each episode, a character from the series briefly sums up the moral of the story.
Characters
Heroes
- Marshall Bravestarr is the protagonist of the series. He is the sheriff of New Texas and is of Native American descent as a member of the New Cheyenne tribe . He has four animal powers, which he has received from Shaman and which he can call upon during his adventures: the powers of the bear , the eyes of the hawk , the ears of the wolf and the speed of the puma . In order to call up these abilities, the marshal closes his eyes and mentally calls the corresponding animal and asks for its power.
- Thirty-Thirty is a hippodroid , a so-called techno horse that can transform into a more human version with legs and arms and a horse version with hooves. Thirty-Thirty usually appears in the human version and stands by Bravestarr with his oversized rifle Sara-Jane , but also willingly serves him again and again as a mount. He is the Marshall's “Big Partner”, although they often have different views. The name is an allusion to the 30/30 Winchester caliber popular in the Wild West.
- Deputy Fuzz is Bravestarr's deputy and his right-hand man. He belongs to the race of the prairie beings and often gives a new direction to the plot with his somewhat clumsy nature. He is adept at inventing and is characterized by his use of the lasso.
- JB is the beautiful judge from New Texas, who is always by Bravestarr's side with advice, action and her sling hammer, which she received from the prairie beings.
- Shaman is Bravestarr's teacher, mentor and father figure. It was through him that the marshal received his powers and learned his skills from him as a child. He lives in Star Peak , a huge rock tower in the shape of an Indian totem pole and guards the magical fire from which he draws his magical powers.
- Handlebar comes from the planet Riegel, where the strongest men in the universe come from. He is huge, weighs 14 tons, has green skin and a distinctive red mustache. He is popular at Fort Kerium, but a special friend of the Marshall. He is the owner of a saloon there where Bravestarr, Thirty-Thirty and Fuzz like to have a drink of fresh water . Handlebar was once a lawless space pirate who then decided to be honest, but did not tell anyone in Fort Kerium about his past. When this comes to light, all residents, especially Bravestarr, continue to stand by their friend.
rogue
- Tex-Hex is the main villain in the series and has weapons that can turn normal items into dangerous monsters. It can also go up in smoke, making it impossible to capture. Originally a settler who came to New Texas for the kerium, he became too greedy and reckless. This enabled Stampede to transform him into his current state, but in some episodes it shows that he still has good things in him.
- Stampede is the archenemy of the shaman, he stole part of his magic powers and created Tex-Hex. His goal is to evict all settlers from New Texas and gain sole rule.
- An avid servant of Tex-Hex, Skuzz , like Deputy Fuzz, belongs to the prairie people. He is a very heavy smoker, which is why the harmfulness of smoking is often pointed out. He was his assistant even before Tex-Hex was transformed by Stampede; shortly afterwards Tex-Hex transformed him, too, so that he became uglier.
- Sandstorm is another Tex-Hex henchman. He has the power to start sandstorms or to numb people with sleeping sand.
- Thunder-Stick is a type of cowboy robot whose right arm is made up of a gun.
- Vipra is a snake woman and the only woman in Stampede's gang. With her snake pistol, she is able to stun people or use them for her goals using hypnosis.
- Cactus Head is Tex-Hex's personal spy. Its exterior is a robot head with spider legs and a cactus for a hat.
- Dingoes are a gang of law breakers. They are not part of Stampede and therefore mostly act independently of it. Most of the time they raid the Stratokutsche or try to rob the local bank.
