Anixe HD (own spelling: ANIXE, according to the broadcaster from Greek "open") is a free-to-air television channel with a focus on Christian TV advertising and permanent advertising. ANIXE is part of private broadcasting and, in addition to classic TV advertising, is financed by broadcasting infomercial programs.

Anixe started in 2006 as a pure HDTV channel (under the name "ANIXE HD"). From 2008 to June 3, 2019, he will also broadcast his program in standard definition via satellite. According to the company's homepage, ANIXE HD was the first free-to-air German-language HD TV station that broadcast its program exclusively in the HD standard.

The station's claim until autumn 2013 was: “ANIXE - TV for the whole family”.

Since April 1, 2016, Anixe HD has been broadcasting its program with the focus on series under the station name "Anixe HD Serie". In future, the SD channel will broadcast feature films, documentaries and infomercials independently of the HD channel.

The station's managing director is Emmanouil Lapidakis. Marion Lapidakis is the sole shareholder of the operating company. The managing general partner ANIXE HD Television Verwaltungs-GmbH is operated by Emmanouil Lapidakis.

On July 1, 2019, the Anixe SD channel was converted to Anixe +. This has also been broadcasting in HD since July 3, 2019.

Up until autumn 2013, the daily program focused on cartoon and children's series classics from the 1980s and 1990s for viewers aged six to 13 and family documentaries.

At the end of 2013, the station repositioned itself and is now focusing on viewers over 50 years of age (so-called best agers ). For this reason, classic series and feature films from the 1960s to 90s are broadcast in the daily program. In the evening Anixe shows feature films and documentaries such as the travel format "ANIXE auf Reisen", TV series and feature film classics, infomercials and religious programs. The feature films and series are mastered and digitized directly from the 35 mm film .

The company operated the travel shopping channel lastminute.tv , from which the ANIXE HD Television GmbH & Co. KG and the TV broadcaster ANIXE emerged. This has been broadcasting the Anixe HD program in parallel in standard definition since January 7, 2008 and is now only called Anixe.

Anixe HD series

On April 1, 2016, the HD version of Anixe turned into an external TV station. Under the name Anixe HD Serie, he only broadcasts series that mostly date from the 1990s and 2000s, including “Helicops”, “SK Kölsch” and “For all cases Stefanie”. Since these recordings were not yet HD-capable at the time, Anixe HD series adjusted the format of the programs from 4: 3 to 16: 9.

Anixe + (formerly Anixe SD) continues to exist independently of the Anixe HD series and now broadcasts feature films, documentaries, religious formats and infomercials.
