action
During the Second World War, the secret service officer Major Joe Dawson jumps over occupied France. His mission is to kidnap the highly decorated but renegade Nazi General Stryker. Stryker has to go to Berlin soon because the Gestapo suspect him of being disloyal to Hitler.
Dawson enlists the help of a resistance group called the "Maquis". The group's leader, Boule, distrusts Dawson. Yvonne, who is supposed to play Dawson's wife, is also skeptical. Members of the resistance group soon find out about Dawson's past. Dawson had tried to kidnap Stryker before. However, his wife, who also worked for the secret service, was brutally killed. Fled from the mental hospital, Dawson decided to carry out his assignment and take the place of the previously intended British agent. Yvonne loses her skepticism and falls in love with Dawson.
At a train station, Dawson finally meets Stryker. But a German patrol involved the resistance in a fight that killed many. Boule is also among the dead. Dawson manages to get Stryker on board an English supply plane. He himself remains in France with Yvonne.
