Harald Wittig

Harald Wittig (born June 14, 1934 in Krems an der Donau ; † January 15, 2018 ) was an Austrian politician ( ÖVP ) and state official. From 1969 to 1992 he was a member of the state parliament of Lower Austria .

Wittig attended grammar school after elementary school and then continued his education at the Krems teacher training college. In 1954 he entered the service of the Province of Lower Austria and from 1958 worked in the road construction department. In addition, he was active as the main district chairman of the ÖAAB and from 1975 as a local councilor in Krems. Between 1977 and 1990 Wittig was mayor of the municipality. He represented the ÖVP between November 20, 1969 and November 30, 1992 as a member of the state parliament.
