The Maxfelsen is a very old sight and natural monument in Deggendorf .

location

The Maxfelsen is located east of Maxhofen in a forest north of Parst at an altitude of 472 meters. The rock is located directly on Ruselbergstrasse (Staatsstrasse 2135), section Mietraching-Hackermühle.

history

On July 11th 1849 Maximilian II and his wife Maria visited the Rusel . For this memorable event, a memorial plaque was placed on the rock, which gave it its name. The 15 meter high rock is still a special feature for hikers today, as it offers a good view.
