Maximum card

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A maximum card is a picture postcard with a face stamp of the same motif and a postmark that is as appropriate as possible , usually as a special postmark . The aim is to achieve a maximum of motif, location and timing of the three elements postcard, postage stamp and stamp. This special area of collecting is called maximaphilia . In this collection area there is an overlap of topical stamp collecting (stamps, postmarks) and deltiology (postcards). Some of these collectors endeavor to get a card with a matching special cancellation from the date the stamp was issued.

If the postcard, postage stamp and postmark do not match, then it is simply a "TCV card" ( T imbre sur c ôté v ue = stamp on the face ). Maximum cards are therefore a special form of the "TCV cards". If there is a double match, it is also only a TCV card.
