The Mayalibit Bay ( Indonesian Teluk Mayalibit ) is located on the south coast of the island Waigeo , which belongs to the archipelago of Raja Ampat .

The Mayalibit Bay, which cuts 47 kilometers deep into the double island of Waigeo from the south, divides the island into a western and an eastern half, with the exception of a two-kilometer narrow land bridge in the north. In the south-east, the bay, which is a maximum of 9.6 km wide, opens onto a narrow, in places less than 800 meters wide, waterway to Dampierstrasse . There are several islands in the north of the bay and on its coast in the south.
