The Mayor Synagogue or Synagogue Mejor ( Turkish Mayor Sinagoğu ) is a Sephardic synagogue of Orthodox Judaism on Arap-Şükrü-Straße in the Turkish city ​​of Bursa .

The synagogue was founded by Jews who settled in the Ottoman Empire after they were driven from Mallorca by the Alhambra Edict . The current building was built in the 15th century or in the late 16th century.

The Mayor Synagogue was in constant use as a place of worship until 1975 when it was closed due to financial difficulties. Researchers who visited the synagogue in 1996 found it abandoned, abandoned and in a ruined state. According to the Turkish government, however, the building is still used for special events and the washing of the dead .
