McEwen is one of 150 constituencies used to elect the Australian House of Representatives . The constituency is located in the center of the state of Victoria north of Melbourne. It was named after the former Australian Prime Minister John McEwen and was created in 1984.

Since 2004, Rob Mitchell of the Australian Labor Party has been the incumbent MP for the constituency.
