Mean Distance Between Failure

Mean Distance Between Failure ( MDBF ), in German the mean distance between failures , is a parameter of the reliability of means of transport . In contrast to the mean time between failures , the errors that occur are related to the distance covered. The size is either calculated in LCC analyzes or determined from field data from fleet operators.
