Medal wages of Romanian labor

The wages medal for Romanian labor was awarded on March 9, 1943, in parallel to the plaque for model companies to encourage the creation and maintenance of social solidarity among economic companies, to support the feeling of working honor among employers and employees and to promote the increase in the quantitative and qualitative levels of production donated by the Romanian Minister of Labor. In this context, the minister was authorized to award diplomas, prizes and awards and to organize regional competitions for the selection of workers and companies.

Award

The recognition and reward of the merits took place by means of awarding the

  • Medal wages of Romanian labor for workers and companies and the
  • Badge for model companies only for companies.

Classes

  • 1st class,
  • II class,
  • III. Class.

Award procedure

The medal of all classes was awarded by the Undersecretary of State for Labor by a ministerial decision, which was also published in the Romanian State Gazette, in accordance with the Foundation Decree for exceptional and recognized services due to regional competitions at any time of the year.

Award terms

The medal was awarded repeatedly to companies, workers, employees and craftsmen, regardless of their importance in the company, for the following economic enterprises:

  • a) organizing free professional training,
  • b) the organization of health care in particular,
  • c) the organization of the beautification of working conditions in particular,
  • d) the care of the employee's apartment in particular,
  • e) special care for employees,
  • f) increase the level of production and
  • g) Promotion of the works work and light (corresponded to the German power through joy ).

In addition, the following criteria had to be applied in the previous categorization:

  1. high moral qualities,
  2. high professional qualities,
  3. special social and national merits,
  4. Consistency in work and
  5. cultural merit.

The medal was kept by the recipient as long as the special merits for which the medal was awarded at the time existed. Due to inspections by an inspection body of the organization Arbeit und Licht, the medal could also be withdrawn again in the event that the person in question was no longer able to maintain the previously achieved award standard or had already lost it.

Employees who had already received several medals and at least twice the first class could be rewarded for their work by the Undersecretary's Office with money that was available in a special fund.
