Medal for special services in defense of the state order
The medal for special services in defense of the state order ( Romanian Medalia Pentru servicii deosebite aduse in apǎrarea orânduirii de stat ) was a state award of the Socialist Republic of Romania . The foundation took place on January 26, 1953 by Decree 39 of the Council of State ( Consiliul de stat ). The statutes were published in the Romanian State Gazette ( Buletinul oficial ) No. 3. The single-class medal could be awarded to sergeants , officers and other employees of the Ministry of the Interior:
- for bravery and selflessness in battle
- for courageous and well-managed crime prevention or detection operations
- for excellent guiding of the trapping of criminals
- for good cooperation of the security and militia organs in the fight against crime
- for the defense of the state order
- for impeccable service in the security and militia organs
Appearance and wearing style
The obverse of the silver coin shows the emblem of the People's Republic as well as underneath the Majuskel R.PR , 1966, then RSR . The reverse of the medal shows a five-pointed star and the five-line inscription below : PENTRU SERVICII DEOSEBITE ADUSE In APARAREA ORANDUIRII DE STAT
The medal was worn on the left chest of the borrower on a blue ribbon with two 4 mm wide side stripes and a 1 mm wide central stripe on a pentagonal clasp.
