Meenakshi Jain
Meenakshi Jain is an Indian political scientist and historian. Her most recent book, Rama and Ayodhya , is a study of the Ayodhya temple-mosque conflict .
Life
Meenakshi Jain is the daughter of the journalist Girilal Jain . She received her Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of Delhi . Her diploma thesis on the social basis and relations between caste and politics was published in 1991. She worked as a fellow at the Nehru Memorial Museum and Library. She is currently an Associate Professor of History at Gargi College, University of Delhi.
In December 2014 she was nominated as a member of the Indian Council of Historical Research .
