Sea disorder

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Meers Fault is a fault zone that is located near the town of Meers in the US state of Oklahoma . The disorder has been known for more than 80 years.

The fault has been thoroughly seismologically investigated since 1985 . What is certain is that violent earthquakes must have occurred twice along the fault . The most recent of these occurred about 1100 years ago. The effects of these earthquakes are still visible today based on the terrain faults. The disturbance has been very extensively equipped with devices in order to be able to detect any earth movements. To date, however, only one earth movement has occurred in April 1997.
