A meeting place (English: Meeting Point ) is a most prominent place that allows a certain group of people that there intentionally einfindet or encountered an unlimited amount of people there without appointment. In order to narrow down the group of people, a meeting point can also be a hidden or remote place.

Such meeting areas are extremely diverse, e.g. B. public places (e.g. at monuments or on street corners, pubs (“meeting places ”) or in communal meeting places ( youth club , house of meeting ) or larger locations (forecourt of public buildings, churches )) and the like. The type of meeting point is heavily dependent on the purpose of the gathering and the milieu of those who meet.

Signposted meeting points can be found above all at airports and train stations and city centers.

A special form of meeting point is the assembly point , where all people from a building gather in the event of fire or damage.

The term is also used synonymously for the location of a scheduled meeting.

The term is also used by numerous media as the name of radio broadcasts or magazines.
