Mehmet Cahit Turhan (* 29. April 1960 in Trabzon ) is a Turkish non-party politicians .

Life

Turhan studied civil engineering at the Karadeniz Teknik Üniversitesi in Trabzon. From 1985 Turhan was an engineer in the General Directorate of the Road Construction Office. From 1995, Turhan was appointed chief engineer. He was promoted to assistant director and director. After the end of his service, he became an advisor to the President and a member of the State Council . On July 9, 2018, he was appointed Minister of Transport and Infrastructure in the Erdoğan IV cabinet to succeed Ahmet Arslan . He lost this position on March 28, 2020.
