Multi-deck screening machines ( MDS ) belong to the group of flat screen machines . They are designed for a variety of sharp separations in the medium to fine grain range. It works on the micro throw principle. Typical applications are in the manufacture of abrasives, the sugar industry and in the manufacture of fertilizers, in particular in the screening of urea (urea).

The drive principle is based on two counter-rotating unbalance motors that generate linear vibration. The material to be sieved moves in a straight line over the horizontal dividing surface. The machine works with low vibration acceleration and therefore with very little wear, both on screen fabrics and on machine assemblies.

A modular system allows up to 23 screen decks to be put together to form a screen stack, so that machines with a maximum total screen area of ​​112 m² and up to 24 different fractions are possible, possibly in parallel arrangement. This means that, if necessary, different grain sizes can be produced in a single machine without having to change the screen linings. By repeating the same screen deck sequences (technological units) several times, the material to be screened can be offered a large screen area. Additional relief decks enable the machine to be optimally adapted to the task at hand.
