On April 1, 2011, the companies Meiji Nyūgyō KK ( 明治 乳業 株式会社 , Meiji Nyūgyō Kabushiki-gaisha , "Meiji Dairy Corporation") and Meiji Seika KK ( 明治 製 菓 株式会社 , Meiji Seika Kabushiki-gaisha , "Meiji- Confectionery Corporation ") together into Meiji Holdings KK /" Co., Ltd ". According to the International Cocoa Organization , Meiji is the world's fourth largest confectionery manufacturer .
