history

In 1996 allesklar.com AG was founded in Siegburg. In 2000 meinestadt.de went online for the first time. In 2006 the Georg von Holtzbrinck publishing group began to participate in the company. In August 2012 it was announced that Axel Springer Digital Classifieds (a joint venture between Axel Springer SE and the investment company General Atlantic ) had taken over 100 percent of the shares in allesklar.com AG and thus the operator of meinestadt.de. On October 1, 2012, there was a change in management: the company's founder Manfred Stegger left the company and Georg Konjovic became the new CEO. In December 2013 allesklar.com AG changed its name to meinestadt.de GmbH. Today it employs around 250 people nationwide in Cologne, Berlin, Munich and Hamburg. The headquarters were relocated from Siegburg to Cologne in February 2014 .

In 2014, the entire portal was relaunched, including the new logo. 2016 was followed by a relaunch of the job shop (self-service for recruiting companies to place job advertisements) at meinestadt.de. 2016 was the launch of the TalentHero app as the first purely mobile solution for finding training. In 2017 the events area was relaunched in cooperation with the Swiss startup ticketfrog.ch. The management is represented by Mark Hoffmann and Wolfgang Weber.
