Master of the Oertel Madonna

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The master of the Oertel Madonna was a southern German carver of the late Gothic . The artist, whose name is not certain, is named after a figure of Mary that came from Richard Oertel's collection from Munich to the museum kunst palast in Düsseldorf. The sculpture is considered an important work of the South German late Gothic.

The master of the Oertel Madonna is possibly identical to Daniel Mauch, which can be proven in Ulm .
