Master of the Blue Crosses

With master of blue crosses one is medieval painter called, in 1265 or 1275 Italy mainly in the north of Umbria worked. The artist, who is not known by name, got his emergency name after the crucifixes he created , which depict Christ crucified on a background of brilliant lapis-lazuli color. These representations are still heavily influenced by Byzantine art .
