Master of the Fischen Vesperbild

The late Gothic carver who created a Vesper picture around 1440/1450 is known as the master of the Fischen Vespers picture . It depicts Mary as Our Lady of Sorrows and is now located in the women's chapel, built in 1667 in Fischen im Allgäu . The miraculous image is one of the special sights of the richly decorated chapel. The master of the Fischen Vesperbild was probably only active in the narrower area around Fischen.
