The master of Joachim and Anna (active in the 2nd half of the 15th century ) was a Dutch carver.

The master of Joachim and Anna is a woodcarver who is no longer known by name and is generally considered to be a master of the northern Dutch sculpture of the 15th century. Due to stylistic comparisons and the material used - oak wood - he is mainly regarded as a sculptor who worked in Utrecht or the surrounding area between 1450 and 1480 , who was a contemporary of Adriaen van Wesel, who also worked there . Whether this thesis is correct cannot currently be proven.

His provisional names received the Master after a character group with the "Meeting of Joachim and Anna at the Golden Gate" that now in the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam (BK-NM-88 Inv No .:), and part of a no longer extant altarpiece is . Another group of figures with the "Birth of Mary" probably comes from the same reredos and is now in the Berlin Sculpture Collection (Inv.-No .: 8333). A third work, also assigned to him, is in a private collection.
