Championship of the North

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The championship of the north was a football championship in the north of Berlin and was only held in the 1897/98 season. Due to the internal problems and disputes in the German Football and Cricket Association (DFuCB), several clubs left the DFuCB during the 1897/98 season. In order to continue to create a game opportunity for the clubs in the north of Berlin, the BTuFC Alemannia 1890 organized a replacement for the DFuCB championship, which was canceled at the beginning of 1898, in which seven teams initially and after the Berlin FC 1893 had also agreed to participate, eight teams in the second half of the season participated. One of the other participants was BFC Hertha 1892 . The championship won the BTuFC Alemannia 1890 before the BFC Hertha 1892.
