Melanie Stabel (born September 30, 1999 ) is a German deaf sportswoman and holder of the silver laurel leaf .

Athletic career

Melanie Stabel is a member of GSV Augsburg as a marksman . In 2017 she was appointed to the German Deaf National Team, with which she attended the XXIII. 2017 Deaflympic Summer Games in Samsun , Turkey . Here she won a total of three medals, namely a gold medal in the air rifle , in the small caliber K 3 in positional shooting and in the KK 3 lying down a silver medal each.

For this success, its Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier awarded the Silver Laurel Leaf on October 13, 2017.

In 2019 she took part with the German Deaf National Team at the European Deaf Championships in Moscow and won a gold and a silver medal.
