In hazard alarm systems, the detector group is the grouping of detectors within a detection area .

Fire alarm system

For fire alarm systems according to DIN 14675 , a maximum of 32 automatic fire detectors can be combined in one detector group (a primary line) . Non-automatic detectors ( manual call points ) must be combined in separate detector groups and should not include more than 10 detectors. The specifications for installation and maintenance are specified in the technical connection conditions for fire alarm systems.

Intrusion alarm system

In the case of intrusion alarm systems , automatic detectors, e.g. B. motion detectors or glass break detectors , as well as for non-automatic detectors, e.g. B. Manual call points or bill contacts to install their own zones.
