Reporting area

The reporting area is the subdivision of security areas of hazard alarm systems to identify the reporting location, e.g. B. to quickly and clearly identify the source of the fire or the hazard. The reporting area of ​​a fire alarm system according to DIN 14675 may only extend to one floor, not exceed a fire compartment and not be larger than 1600 m² (exceptions: stairwells and elevator shafts which are combined to form a reporting area). Exceptions may be specified in the technical connection conditions for fire alarm systems. The reporting areas of an intrusion alarm system should be adapted to the object and protection objective (protection objective).

In the case of site surveillance systems, a surveillance route should not be longer than 100 m and include at least one detector zone . Immediately after receipt of the message, it should be possible to visually check the triggering reporting area and the adjacent parts (by cameras). The security personnel should be offered a maximum of four camera images for evaluating a report.
