Memphis (wife of Danaos)
Memphis ( ancient Greek Μέμφις Memphis ) is in Greek mythology, one of the wives of Danaus , king of Libya in ancient times also, and ancestor Danai called Greeks . With him she had the daughters Kleite , Chrysippe and Sthenele . While in most other marriages of the 50 daughters of Danaos, the Danaids , with the 50 sons of Aegyptus the pairing was decided by lot, with the three daughters of Memphis the similarity of names formed the basis for the choice of the husband.
