The slightly inclined menhir Pierre Percée von Draché (also called Menhir des Arabes ) stands south of the town of Sainte-Maure-de-Touraine and north of Draché , between the A10 and the D910, in the Indre-et-Loire department in the Center- Val de Loire in France .

Pierre Percée by Draché

It is a 3.75 meter high perforated stone that is 1.5 m wide at its widest point. At two thirds of the height there is an oval hole about 25 × 20 cm, which is probably of natural origin.

There are many legends about the menhir, associated with couples who shake hands through the hole and swear allegiance. There is also a legend that the stone was used for sacrifice and that all parts of the sacrifice had to be passed through the hole. Tradition also reports that in the year 732, a battle took place near the menhir , which is another name for the menhir that stands in the middle between Tours and Poitiers .

The Boumiers dolmen is about a kilometer to the north.
