Menhir des Rivaux

The Menhir des Rivaux (also called Grand'Borne, Pierre Aiguë or incorrectly called Dolmen d'Égriselles-le-Bocage) is a menhir that stands on a slope 500 m south of the hamlet of Les Rivaux and south of Égriselles-le-Bocage , in the north of the Yonne department in France .

The menhir, which is about one meter deep, is about 3.0 m high, 1.6 m wide and 0.72 m thick.

In 1892, a resident of Égriselles-le-Bocage told the Yonne Natural and Historical Society that the stone known as the Grand'Borne is likely a menhir. After the discovery of fragments of Neolithic pottery and a cut stone, it was listed as a historical monument in 1894 under the incongruous name of Dolmen d'Égriselles-le-Bocage .
